1. WHAT WE DO…
1.1 In addition to the weekly classes, BOS give all the children the opportunity to take part in many other activities:
1.2 Our yearly show at The Princes Hall Theatre, Aldershot. To take part in our show, a one-off fee will be added to your invoice at the beginning of that term to include your Child’s costume (which they keep) all rehearsal times outside of their weekly class, props and scenery used in the show. Fees can alter due to age or size (adult size) of your child.
1.3 The Fleet Speech, Drama & Musical Theatre Festival. A one-off fee will be added to your invoice at the beginning of the term to cover one entry for your child. Should your child want to enter more then one category you will be invoiced separately for any additional categories entered.
1.4 Filming work with outside companies. Auditions will be carried out in class and if your child is successful any terms and conditions from the filming company will supersede ours when on location and away from Beginners On Stage.
1.5 Audition opportunities for one of the industries top child agency Daisy and Dukes, is available by either recommendation from Beginners On Stage or through their open audition dates throughout the year.
2. LAMDA EXAM CLASSES
2.1 When your child is ready or ‘invited’ to attend one of our LAMDA classes, they will be given the opportunity to take internationally recognised graded qualifications in:
Acting
Miming
Devising
Verse & Prose
Reading For Performance
Speaking In Public
HOW WE KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE…
3. CLASSES – Disney & Hanks (pre-school and Infant) Classes:
3.1 All children must be brought into the class by their parent/guardian.
3.2 All children must be taken to the toilet before class begins by their parent/guardian.
3.3 All children will be supervised constantly throughout the class, including any extra toilet breaks.
3.4 At the end of the class, all children must be received by their parent/guardian at the designated exit.
3.5 Prompt collection of all children will be expected. Should a parent be late, a telephone call will be expected. If a second class follows either of the above classes, then your child will be taken back inside and will wait until collected.
3.6 If anyone, other then the designated person that usually collects your child, is collecting your child, then BOS will require a text from the said Child’s parents to confirm this before your child is released.
3.7 A soft refreshment drink should be supplied by you the parent/guardian at each lesson for you child. Children are not allowed unsupervised in the kitchens on site and staff should not be expected to wash up any glasses/cups used during or after any classes.
3.8 Any bad language or unruling behaviour will not be tolerated at 1.any time. We reserve the right to dismiss any child who becomes disruptive or behaves inappropriately.
3.9 Any bad behaviour will be dealt with in class. Should it carry on during the lesson or over the following weeks, parents will be asked to come in and take their child home early. They will be contacted the same day to discuss the situation. If the disruptive behaviour continues and this affects the other children or/and the class as a whole, your child might be suspended for a week or for the remainder of the term.
3.10 All staff hold enhanced DBS checks.
3.11 All given contact telephone/mobile numbers on the registration form, must be available as a contact at all times whilst your child is in the care of Beginners On Stage. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to ensure all contact details are up to date and all new telephone/mobile numbers are up date as a matter of urgency.
4. CLASSES – Chaplin & Hoffman (Junior) Classes:
4.1 At the end of the class, all children must be received by their parent/guardian at the designated exit.
4.2 Prompt collection of all children will be expected. Should a parent be late, a telephone call will be expected. If a second class follows either of the above classes, then your child will be taken back inside and will wait until collected.
4.3 If anyone, other then the designated person that usually collects your child, is collecting your child, then BOS will require a text from the said Childs parents to confirm this before your child is released.

5. CLASSES – Streep, Hayes, Davis & Dench Classes:
5.1 Should a parent be late, a telephone call will be expected. If a second class follows either of these classes, then your child will be taken back inside and will wait until collected.
5.2 A soft refreshment drink should be brought into at each lesson by your child. Children are not allowed unsupervised in the kitchens on site and staff should not be expected to wash up any glasses/cups used during or after any classes.
5.3 Prompt collection of all children will be expected. Should a parent be late at the end of a class, a telephone call will be expected.
6. HOW DO YOU PAY…
6.1 After joining BeginnersOn Stage via our website joining page, an invoice will be generated.
6.2 Full term payment will be expected 7 days after the invoice has been emailed to you.
6.3 Your child has the option to attend 2 weeks of classes before they choose to fully commit and continue with Beginners On Stage. Should your child choose to stay for the rest of the term, then classes will carry on as normal. Should your child wish to leave after the 2 weeks, you will receive the remainder of the term back minus the 2 weeks, no questions asked. You will be asked to forward your bank details to admin via text or email and the remainder of the term will be reimbursed to your account as soon as possible.
6.4 Invoices can be paid by Cash (proof of payment needed), Cheque (payable to “T Gittins”), BACS (Cahoot A/c no. 14284257 Sort Code 09-06-40) or Credit Card.
6.5 Late payment could result in your child losing their place to a child on the waiting list, and a very awkward conversation with Admin! Please always talk to Admin if you are having trouble meeting a payment deadline.
7. WHAT WE WEAR…
7.1 All children joining BOS must wear comfortable clothes.
7.2 Compulsory items of uniform are our own logo t-shirts and trainers with a good gripping rubber sole or Jazz shoes. To enable non inhibited movement, loose trousers/leggings must be worn. We sell customised t-shirts which can be ordered directly from us. BOS logo hoodies can also be purchased but are not compulsory.
7.3 Your child will be solely responsible for any/all private property they bring to any event held by Beginners On Stage. It will be their sole responsibility to keep all private property safe at all times and Beginners On Stage holds no responsibility for any loss or damage to yours child’s private property.
7.4 Should your child leave any private items eg. water bottles, uniform or any other private item they have brought into class, they will be left in the ‘lost property’ section in any individual venue.
7.5 If staff do take any valuables home for safe keeping, contact will be made with the owner and arrangements will be made for a parent/guardian to collect the said item from the member of staff at their earliest convience.
7.6 Requesting staff to keep the said item and then ‘deliver’ the said item back the next available class will not be an option.
